The Bluestones recorded their first CD, Live At Northside,
in June of 1996. The CD picked up solid reviews by the local press and
from Northeast Ohio's "guru" of the Blues, "Fitz", DJ of
WCPN 90.3FM Cleveland, where it received substantial airplay. Their
second CD was planned for the summer of 1998. In 2001, The Outskirts of
Town was released, showing incredible musical growth.

Out of the decades of experience, the Bluestones were born four
years ago.
Beginning as one musician's dream, the band's distinctive style,
undeniable soul and authentic Blues music makes the Bluestones exactly what it
set out to be: a swinging, smooth, growling, heartbroken, my-baby-left-me
group. Pure guts-pure blues.
The Bluestones characteristic style comes from the band's eclectic
patchwork of musical talent and diverse influences. Ranging from gospel
hymns to Hendrix, the Bluestones' musicians have transformed the feeling and
spirit from several music categories into the band's traditional Blues sound.

Ted Harris is saxophone player, flautist and vocalist for the
Bluestones. Harris has experience in many fields, including reggae, jazz and
rock. He has provided recording session work for numerous bands
including Colin DuSault's Blues Project and Macaw. Harris' sax style waives between in-your-face horn blowing to
soft and mellow melancholy Blues notes. |

Rufus Edge, the Bluestones drummer, began playing music in church
while still in high school. Opening for such famous gospel acts as The Mighty
Clouds of Joy and the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, Edge uses his gospel roots
as a springboard into its hard-edged Blues cousin. Edge's talent for drumming the Blues has earned him recognition
as the best on the local scene. |
|
Jim Fox, the band's rhythm guitarist and vocalist, also doubles
as the Bluestones' manager. A fan of great Blues for many years, Fox's Chicago-style rhythms
help add style to the band. |

The Bluestones employ a number of outstanding players, some who
have opened for Otis Rush or Charlie Musselwhite to name a few.
They have all contributed to the bands success.
Together, these
musicians give the Bluestones a uniquely original sound. The band plays kicking
west side Chicago Blues tunes like Otis Rush's "All Your Love (I Miss
Lovin')" and Howling Wolf's "Who's Been Talking." The band
also captures the contained south side of
